Meet Marc

Increasingly concerned about the direction our state and community are heading and growing more disappointed in the quality of our elected leaders and the effectiveness of their representation, Marc Priore has stepped forward to run for state office and represent his family, friends, and neighbors in Albany.  He has been endorsed by the Erie County Republican and Conservative committees.

As a first-time candidate for public office, Marc Priore brings a work ethic, a level of professionalism, and an understanding of the challenges being faced by Western New York residents that is sorely missing in state government today, to the campaign for the 142nd State Assembly seat.

A life-long resident of the 142nd District, Marc was born and raised in South Buffalo and educated at Bishop Timon High School.  Growing up as an alter boy at St. John the Evangelist and playing youth hockey at Cazenovia Park, Marc was instilled with the values of hard work, honesty, loyalty, and respect for others that will guide him as our next State Assemblymember.

In 2022, Marc’s high degree of professionalism was recognized with his appointment to the Professional Standards Division where he supervised background investigations and allegations of misconduct.  Working in this capacity, Marc prided himself on the division’s motto “Guardians of Integrity.” It is an adage that he will live by everyday as a member of the State Assembly.  He currently serves as an Administrative Lieutenant where he plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the Sheriff’s Department.

Marc is a natural born leader with a history of effectively advocating for people and representing their best interests.  In 2017, he was elected President of the 275 member CSEA Erie Corrections Unit.  The strength of his leadership was acknowledged in 2019 when he was elected a Vice President of the regional CSEA Local 815 which represents over 5,000 employees throughout Erie County.  The experience Marc gained and the relationships he developed through his union service will serve him well in the New York State Assembly.

Marc and his wife Patricia are proud parents and stepparents to Brendan Priore (16) and Ryan Priore (17) who both attend West Seneca East Senior High School, and Katlyn Carney (20) who also graduated from West Seneca East and Michael Carney (22).  The family has lived in the Town of West Seneca since 2000.
